John Cena down in Hollywood

So last night on March 19,2009 I managed to catch WWE wrestler John Cena arriving to do a tv show taping to promote his movie 12 Rounds. John's most famous line in wrestling is the Champ is Here, this was the first time I got to meet John in person and he was super cool dude. I shot video of his encounter with fans and you can see it over at http://meetthefamous.com/Curls93.

How high will DAVID COOK climb for his fans

Recently I had the time to catch David Cook, last seasons American Idol winner attending a tv show taping down in Hollywood, california. This was my first time meeting the winner. I really enjoyed David's singing on the show and was really happy that he won American Idol. He was out doing a free concert(a couple songs) to promote his first cd release. Having never met the man till now I was wondering if the fame had gotten to his head. I wasn't sure if he was gonna be cool to his fans or not. If you watch the video below you'll see that not only was David Cook cool, he climbed higher then most for his fans literally! David was getting ready to go for a fast bite to eat after his rehearsal and fans caught him departing. David was behind the security fences but came over and signed some autographs. Some fans had a hard time reaching their material to David so David did what any Champion would do for his fans. David Literally climbed up the security fence to retrieve the item promptly signed the item and returned it back to the fan. Look out Tobey Maguire there is a new Spider-Man in the House. I wish David nothing but success because he truly is one of a kind.

UFC 91 Couture vs Lesnar all bets are off

Ufc 91 the big showdown between Couture vs Lesnar all bets are off. Its classic story old lion vs new lion. Brock having only fought in the UFC twice is already getting a title shot. Couture having taking some time off is now back to see if he's still the man. I personally don't see Lesnar beating Couture. Randy is just too good, he's fought for the belt numerous times, against the best of the best with a 16-8 record. Lesnar could not beat Mir, and this fight will be the same. Brock might hurt Randy, might get him down but Brock will make a mistake and Randy will catch him and the fight will be over. The only way I see Brock winning is by first round knockout if he can connect. I see Randy taking this fight to the ground and just wearing down Brock. Randy will get Brock in the 3 round once Brock is tired and carrying around all that body weight. One thing is for sure, it will be interesting. So who you betting on, Old Lion or young Lion? Let me know your thoughts on this epic battle by leaving me a comment. Randy 3 round submission

UFC 90 PATRICK "the Predator" COte injured

Yes I'm Canadian Originally and I have been a big fan of Patrick the Predator Cote since his TKO days. Tonight was to be Patrick's night as he had a chance to face Anderson the spider Silva. Nobody and I mean Nobody gave the Canadian fighter a chance to get past the first round. Patrick not only stood his ground but also seemed to be in Silva's head for his knockout power. The fight lasted into the 3rd round as I would say it was 1-1 in rounds. However, bad break for Patrick Cote as he blew out his knee just about 1 minute into the 3 round. Patrick is the first guy in a long time to last that long with Anderson Silva. You could hear Patrick apologizing after the fight but my only hope is that Dana White gives this Canadian one more shot. No one expected this fight to go past the first round. I was rooting for Patrick and all but no one could have expected him to make it into round 3. Too bad for Patrick that his knee blew out because IF he was gonna lose I wanted it to be better then that. Patrick showed how much he has improved because alot of MMA fighters would have been out in the first round against Silva. Let's hope Patrick recovers quickly and that the UFC president Dana White gives Patrick a rematch. I think he earned it. Let me know your opinions on the fight and whether or not Patrick the Predator Cote deserves another go at the title.

George "Rush" St.Pierre celebrates in Montreal at UFC 83

Well last night was a great night for Canada. It was the first ever pay per view event held in Canada by the UFC(Ulimate Fighting Championship). The event was held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the Bell center in Montreal. The headline matchup of the event was Canada's own George "Rush" St.Pierre vs Matt Serra. Serra having dethroned St.Pierre the last time these two fighter's fought was the UFC middleweight champion going in. The crowd was rocking, as the 2 fighter's made their way to the ring the crowd was going crazy for George. As for Matt Serra they booed his entrance into the ring. At the start of the fight George took down Serra and began to ground and pound him for much of the round. Serra was able to get up around 1 minute to go in the first but George put him back on his back. Serra survived the first. For the second round it was more of the same, a quick flurry and Serra was on his back. The referree ended up stopping the fight after St.Pierre was continually striking Serra. The crowd went absolutely crazy when George won and was declared the winner and new middleweight UFC champion of the world. George "RUSH" St.Pierre. It was great because he really deserved the win . It also validated Tito "the Huntington Beach badboy" Ortiz's prediction when i had the chance to ask him who he thought would win the fight. He had told me George. If you would like to see what Tito had to say you can view the video at http://www.revver.com/ then you type in curls93. Please bear with me till i figure how to link my videos directly to my blog. On a last note, congrats to George "Rush" St. Pierre on being a 2 time champion in the UFC.
